Peter Thomas and the Untangled Band, in collaboration with artist Ket Conway and her Crankie, announce the third performance of “The Tale of JB and His Eventful Friday Evening” on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 5:30-7:30pm.

After the last show one of the attendees wrote:

“From the opening of the curtain, you had us hooked. There was something about the illustrations of JB - likeable yet enigmatic - which were so original and curious I couldn't wait to see what followed. The story was absurdly simple, in a delightful way, and yet it had a few good twists. And the songs and lyrics had humor and punch. Amazing, really. The Untangled musicians were all superb, and Peter, your wry showmanship drew us into happily singing along and savoring the lyrics. How about cranking out another Crankie ASAP?

The Tale of JB and His Eventful Friday Evening

On Sunday, February 22, 2026 you are invited to attend a house concert presenting “The Tale of JB and His Eventful Friday Evening,” a musical without the actors. The songs and story were written by Peter Thomas, and will be performed by Peter and the Untangled Band. The event will be something like the British music hall and American vaudeville shows of old. Some of the songs are call and response, others have a sing along chorus, and you, the audience, will be handed lyric sheets and encouraged to sing along. In the place of actors, the show will be accompanied by the showing of a “crankie” created by local artist Ket Conway. There are 20-30 seats (all good seats too!) for the show. So we don’t overbook, and to guarantee yourself a seat you will need to contact Peter at theuntangledband@gmail.com and venmo or paypay a $5 per person reservation fee.
